I have it as a mobile app and I think it's the same.

Unfortunately, there is only a Basic game, 1 to 3 expansions. Mini-expansion of Opat and Reka I. All new edition of the game.

It is also possible to install the Winter Edition and the Gingerbread mini-extension.

The game is currently on sale on Steam. 3,99€ for the base game, as a bundle with 5 DLCs for 13,03€.

The online feature runs through Asmodee's servers - which means that whether you bought the game on Steam, GOG, or the Epic Game Store, you can play with everyone, even if they bought it on another platform. This includes iOS and Android users as well.

Please note: The game is only available on GOG without Digital Rights Management! If you buy it from Steam or Epic, you will also need to install the app from the respective platform permanently.

Obwohl ich ohnehin nie im Leben auf die Idee käme, jemals ein Spiel im Epic-Store oder über Steam zu kaufen (Produkt ist bei beiden nicht das Spiel, sondern Produkt ist der Kunde), habe ich auch keine Lust, den Multiplayer-Part mit der GoG-version auszuprobieren. Im Singleplayer DRM-frei, wird für den Multiplayer-Part GoG-Galaxy benötigt und das gibt es nur für Windofs oder Mäkk (Gottseidank werden Linux-User nicht von dieser Spyware belästigt). Und dann noch Asmodee-Server!
Also ist das Spiel eigentlich komplett unbrauchbar für jemanden, dem Privatsphäre und Datenschutz wichtig sind. Ein derartiger Softwaremüll kommt folglich nicht auf meine Festplatte.

Ich habe "Ticket to Ride", welches wie Carcassonne von Asmodee veröffentlicht wurde, bei GOG gekauft - und zumindest das läuft im Online-Modus ohne Probleme, ohne dass ich Galaxy nutze. Mir erscheint Linux als Plattform zum Spielen grundsätzlich eher suboptimal, aber zumindest für diesen Aspekt gibt es ja ansonsten auch noch minigalaxy als inoffizielle Galaxy-Alternative.

Weshalb nun die Asmodee-Server in Sachen Datenschutz ein Problem darstellen, leuchtet mir jetzt nicht ein - irgendwie muss es ja möglich sein, sich auf einem Server zu treffen. JCloisterZone ist vermutlich schlichtweg eher nach deinem Geschmack, was ja auch okay ist.

Naja, erstens gibt es jede Menge Top-Games auch nativ für Linux, Factorio, FTL, Stardew Valley, Terraria, Stellaris, Pathfinder, alle Java-Games (Minecraft) usw. usf.
Auch laufen z. B. die alten Bethesda-RPGs unter Linux deutlich stabiler als unter Windows (Fallout New Vegas, Oblivion usw).
Selbst wenn man Lust auf Amiga-, SNES-, DOS-Titel hat, wird man hervorragend unter Linux bedient. Alle erforderlichen Tools stehen nativ unter Linux zur Verfügung.
Keine Ahnung, was da "grundsätzlich suboptimal" sein soll...
